​Grooming Consent Form
--PLEASE READ CAREFULLY TO ACCEPT THESE TERMS--
Any Booking made with The Hound Lounge will require a Signed Grooming Consent Form at your first Appointment.

I warrant, that my pet is healthy to the best of my knowledge unless already stated over the page. Should my pet become ill or injured, the groomer has:
​
1) Permission to engage the service of a veterinary clinic of their choice if the veterinary clinic stated is not available at the time.
2) Administer first aid or give any other advisable treatment at their discretion and judgement. Any expense incurred shall be paid by the owner unless:
a) The groomer has caused injury as a direct result of the grooming process.
The groomer will not be held responsible for any illness which occurs during the grooming process such as:
1) Diarrhoea or vomiting
2) Death by pre-existing health condition
3) Matted and neglected fur on dogs requires shorter blades to get under the coat and minor irritation or grazes of the skin is an unfortunate hazard of the process and one which The Hound Lounge cannot be held responsible for.

We reserve the right to:
1) Charge additional fees for services we consider above norm covered by our standard rates.
2) Refuse a pet who poses detriment to staff or other pets in our care such as parasites, aggression, destruction and persistent urination and defecation.
Any damage/injury caused by the pet to the facility, or the groomers maybe paid for by the owner.
Cancellation/ No Show Policy
We love hanging out with your pet, it’s fun!! But as a small business we really do feel it when people don’t turn up for their appointments. If you fail to show for an appointment or give us less than 24 hours notice we will charge you 50% of the groom which must be paid before a new appointment can be made.
Photographs
As part of our marketing strategy, we use Facebook/Instagram pages and a website for publicity. We would love to use before and after images of your pet for this. For permission to use the images we take please tick the box. Please leave blank if you do not wish you pet to be considered for this.

As a member in good standing of IPG, I promise to:

Treat humanely all animals entrusted in my care, and place their welfare above all else. Exhibit compassion and integrity when dealing with these pets, ensuring their safety and health.

Report any injury occurring to an animal in your care to the owner immediately.

Exhibit a proper professional attitude and demeanour at all times. Promote harmony among my peers by encouraging professionalism and continuing education.

Advertise and sell the merits of my services while refraining from attacking competitors or reflecting unfairly on their services, methods of doing business, or their personal life. This includes negative posting on any social networking.

Honour the spirit of IPG, Inc. and to continually strive to gain respect for the industry by promoting professionalism in the field of pet grooming.

Work toward the highest standards in pet styling, stay current with industry trends and continue to improve my capabilities as a professional pet groomer with higher education.

Be honest, fair, and responsible in all business transactions and abide by all laws affecting my business and profession. Encourage responsible pet ownership and promote the importance of professional pet care.
